Manitoga’s central Quarry Pool, moss-covered alcoves and rock terraces come alive with music and song…
Celebrate the stunning natural setting and the natural bonds that unite us all – under one sun. Enjoy live music set in the surrounds of nature and you. Let multi-genre music, rhythm and voice sing around the Quarry and through the woodlands. Let it organically lift you. Let it remind you of all that unites us.
The 2018 Annual Performance honors the 50th anniversary of Wright’s Summer in the Parks – a program he launched with the National Park Service to invite the Washington D.C. community into the city’s parks and green spaces through multi genre music and dance, play, poetry, and recreation. The year was 1968. Russel Wright believed then in the power of nature to unite and to heal. With a designer’s vision and naturalist’s heart, he created Manitoga – a place of great spirit, inspiration, and beauty. Join us through music at Manitoga in celebration of peace and unity.
